MicroLink Dealer Privacy Policy

In brief: MicroLink Dealer is a dedicated business-to-business (B2B) inventory, reagent carton/kit intake, instrument fleet authorization, and distributor network administration tool. It connects authorized dealers directly with Microlab’s cloud management infrastructure. MicroLink Dealer is strictly non-medical: it does not handle patient information, clinical specimens, test outcomes, or medical diagnostic data. It does not contain advertising, third-party analytics trackers, or commercial profiling.

1. Scope and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to the MicroLink Dealer mobile application (the “App”), Android package name com.mipl.microlink.dealer. The App is developed, distributed, and operated by Microlab Instruments Private Limited (“Microlab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

MicroLink Dealer is intended solely for authorized commercial dealers, distributors, and logistics partners managing reagent stock and instrument allocations for compatible Microlab equipment. It is a commercial operations tool: it does not offer medical diagnoses, does not process health or clinical records, and does not interface with patient health systems.

3. Device permissions

• Camera: Used solely for scanning QR codes on reagent cartons and kit packaging during intake and assignment. The camera stream is analyzed on-device in memory; no photos or videos are stored or transmitted.
• Internet access: Required to securely synchronize inventory records and cloud operations with Google Firebase servers via TLS encryption.

MicroLink Dealer does not request or use Bluetooth, device location (GPS), contacts, storage/photos, microphone, or background processing permissions.

4. Information the App does not collect

MicroLink Dealer never collects, stores, or processes:

• Patient names, medical records, test results, diagnoses, or clinical data.
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data.
• Precise or coarse GPS location coordinates.
• Personal financial information, payment cards, or bank credentials.

5. How we use information

We use information processed by the App exclusively to:

• Authenticate authorized dealer accounts and enforce administrative role boundaries;
• Intake and assign reagent cartons, kits, and packs across the authorized distribution network;
• Authorize, manage, and phase out dealer permissions on Microlab instruments;
• Prevent counterfeit, expired, unauthorized, or diverted reagent distribution;
• Maintain operational, security, and quality audit trails required for laboratory instrument safety; and
• Comply with applicable legal, industrial, and regulatory responsibilities.

6. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade dealer data. Data is shared only with:

• Google Cloud & Firebase: For managed authentication, Firestore cloud databases, serverless Cloud Run functions, and hosting infrastructure under enterprise security standards;
• Authorized Microlab operational, technical support, and quality assurance personnel; and
• Regulatory authorities or law enforcement when legally mandated or necessary to prevent fraud and maintain public instrument safety.

7. Data security

All communication between MicroLink Dealer and backend services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Cloud data is stored in secured data centers with role-based access controls and custom claim verification. Audit logs for critical administrative operations are protected against unauthorized modification.

8. Account deletion and data retention

In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies, users have full rights regarding their account:

• In-App Deletion Request: You can initiate an account deletion request at any time directly within the App via Settings & About → Delete Account.
• Direct Request: You may also request account de-provisioning or removal of personal contact information by emailing abhi@microlab.co.in (cc: info@microlab.co.in) with the subject line MicroLink Dealer Account Deletion and your dealer code.
• Retention Requirements: When an account is de-provisioned, authentication credentials and personal contact details are deleted. Historical inventory transactions, pack assignment audit logs, and instrument safety records are retained in an anonymized or administrative state to satisfy regulatory quality standards and equipment traceability mandates.

9. Children’s privacy

MicroLink Dealer is an enterprise logistics tool for commercial laboratory partners and is strictly not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as product capabilities or regulatory mandates evolve. Any changes will be posted to this URL with an updated revision date.
